Overview

Little Andaman lies well south of Port Blair and is the least visited of the accessible islands, reached only by a long ferry crossing across open water that can take several hours depending on the day. Ferry schedules stay limited and weather-dependent throughout the season.

It is lush and raw, covered in dense forest, cut through by waterfalls, and edged with surf-worthy beaches, with very few other tourists around to share any of it. Butler Bay Beach draws a small but dedicated surfing crowd during the right season, while the White Surf and Whisper Wave waterfalls offer a genuine jungle walk through thick, untouched forest. Facilities stay basic, so travellers should arrive reasonably self-sufficient, ready for a slower pace than anywhere else in the Andamans and a genuinely wilder, more remote kind of island trip overall.
